Our Angle
Everyone has a purpose. Everyone brings something to the table. Often, though, we get hung up on how a person looks or how they delivered the message. It is easy to dismiss someone if they are different or they don't immediately fit into our safe haven. If we would just step out of our comfort zone for a moment and engage with those we encounter in life, I believe we would find that we are not all that different and great friendships can be forged with anyone.
Everyone has value.
Behind The Scenes
I am so blessed to have these people support me and this entire process. Without their love and dedication to me, this blog would not be possible.
Roger McGee
Husband and #1 Fan
I am so amazed that God orchestrated our lives in such a way that Roger and I would meet later in life and would instantly connect. This wonderful man shares my love of God, science, family, and all things geeky. He is my favorite nerd, and I love him with all that I am. I am immensely proud of his service to our country in the NAVY which eventually led to him being a paraplegic. Even though the paralysis was a shock, we have chosen to stay focused on what matters most: God, each other, and our families. He is my greatest fan and biggest cheerleader.
Francis Smith
Sister, Proof Reader, and Lover of All People
Francis is a free spirit who approaches life with faith, joy, and love. She has suffered much but one would not know it for she comes through each event with her faith and joy intact. She is the epitome of unconditional love and faith. Her love and dedication to her family is only second to that of her Savior.
She is a genuine and gentle soul. At work Francis is affectionately referred to as 'Momma' and freely extends encouragement, guidance, love and acceptance to all who seek her out. She is loved more than she will every realized because she has loved, mentored, encouraged, and supported so many asking for nothing in return.
Annie
Source of Life Lessons from a Four Year Old
Annie is a beautiful child with a natural ability to see the needs of others. She has a servant heart and looks to ensure those needs are met. She began showing this at a very early age. We thought her offering all visitors a drink and a snack was adorable. We then started to notice other things she would do, like dragging a chair that weighed almost as much as she did across the room so her great grandmother would be able to sit with her Poppy or how she ensures that Poppy always has the things he needs. She is energetic, literal, blunt, loving, tender-hearted, and wise beyond her years. We are so blessed to have her.
Colley McGee
Son & IT expert
Colley (Cole) is my oldest son and an IT expert. Besides helping build the site, he offers support, aid, and assurance when I feel overwhelmed with the tasks outside of my wheelhouse. It is honor to call him son and I will forever thank God for him. He is a Christ-follower, husband, son, friend, peacemaker, dedicated employee and so much more. He is hysterical and with his dry sense of humor, we often find ourselves bursting out laughing long after he has delivered the punch line.
